Best of the Box
Here are highlights from the week based on MA's groupings of B'nacle blogs. See if your favorites make my "best of the box" picks for this week.
Founders: Hofmann's Legacies, at the Wasp, commenting on a Peggy Fletcher Stack article in the SL Trib. He summarizes some of the legacies she notes as "the loss of a generation of Mormon historians, changes in the writing of Mormon history, and changes in access to church historical archives."
Mainland: I liked Nate's post The Inevitability of Pain in Mormon Intellectual Life. I was so distracted by the interesting discussion that it never really dawned on me during my first reading that I don't think I agree with Nate's main thesis: "Constitutive beliefs – coupled with conversation – also makes pain inevitable."
Isles of the Sea: I'll go with The Main Issue from IMD, which deserves serious consideration on sheer length alone, plus Clark's response at MM with several nice comments in the thread as well.
More Islands: Smile for the Camera at BoH. Any post at BoH by a certifiably real person deserves special mention. It's kind of an upbeat human interest piece, not exactly the usual B'nacle post.
Even More Islands: Externalities and the Free Market, just because I like the title. I do miss the old banner at Must Love Books.
Podcasts: I really need to try out this podcast thing, but I'm sure that A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Mormon Cybergalaxy would be my choice had I gotten around to it this week.

Really like the feature, Dave!
