Maybe, maybe not. Open thread jabberfests crowded out any serious discussion of Conference, but the Diverse Crop of New Leaders post by Devyn at Mormon Mentality gave a nice reflection on that strange list of foreign names read at the beginning of the Saturday morning session. Oh, and there's a new Relief Society President, too. Guy at Messenger & Advocate offered outstanding real-time summaries of all sessions and speakers. Photos too.
I'm a little behind, so here is a batch of fine posts from the last few days that you ought to read if you haven't already:
- A Christian by Yearning by Matt at Sunstone Blog, reprinting a classic essay by Levi Peterson (in case you don't have plans to read the book).
- King Follett and the Fundamentals of the Gospel by Jettboy at Blogger of Jared, thoughts on Mormonism's most famous sermon.
- The Book of Mormon's Contextual Vacuum by LxxLuthor at Faith-Promoting Rumor (capitals and hyphen added), a post that spurred a spirited discussion in the comments.
- ideal/idol by Amelia at X2, a reflection on one blogger's personal view of the career and motherhood issue.

By the way, I fixed the display problem with the Recent Comments list. So if you comment, you'll show up in the list. I hope this wasn't deterring readers from posting comments. Problem solved; post away.
