If the former Governor of Massachusetts and candidate for PotUS shows up to help, he'll be welcome and appreciated.

The LDS response post-Katrina was exemplary. Here's hoping they don't have to do it again.

Responding to whether or not Gustav will push up the importance of climate change/global warming as a campaign issue, I would submit that probably, yes, it will, to some degree. After all, comparisons are being drawn already to Katrina (at least down here in Texas) since they were both threatening the same area. That said, didn't the high priest of global warming himself, Al Gore, invoke Katrina in that film An Inconvenient Truth (never saw it, but heard loads about it)?

Cheers!
