Very early in our existence this blogger requested a link at M*. We had no idea who he(?) was, and we hadn't really set up a blogroll yet, so we didn't link back.

Besides, I read the first post and thought, "This guy is a nut job." I could be wrong, but first impressions count for something. At any rate, I didn't see any compelling reasons to send our readers to that blog.

Google didn't get me far.

Many pages in ....

phalansterianism (n.) phal·an·ste·ri·an·ism

a system by which society would be reorganized into units comprising their own social and industrial elements; Fourierism.

Online OED: "a. In Fourier's scheme for the reorganization of society, A building or set of buildings occupied by a phalanx or socialistic community; hence, such a community itself, numbering about 1,800 persons, living together as one family, and holding property in common." Hmm, Acts 4:32 "And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common."

I believe we got a comment or email asking for a link too. I glanced at his blog and couldn't really make heads or tails of it. (And is it commercial? I'm not really sure.)

As you're aware, with limited blogroll space, we try to focus on blogs that consistently produce posts that may be interesting to our readers. I'm not yet convinced on TJS.
