From a blog that specializes in book reviews and commentary, here's a short piece on Christians who burn Harry Potter books. Like Harry doesn't have enough problems dealing with the practitioners of evil in his own narrative world, now he has to contend with enraged Christian parents in the real world! I post this just to remind readers that Mormons are actually pretty normal folks. We have our idiosyncrasies, but you won't see weekend book burnings at your local LDS chapel. If there's smoke coming from the back of the parking lot, it's just burgers on the barbeque — come on over and fill your plate, and throw on some funeral potatoes or our signature green jello while you're at it. My wife picked up a copy the other day and I'm a chapter into the new book already. So far so good... I'll keep you posted.

I've never understood burning books. They have to buy the books to burn them. But if you buy them you just make it seem more popular, leading publishers to publish more of that genre.
