From the LA Times: "Foes of gay-marriage ban say poll shows Prop. 8 leading." The story is half news and half free advertising for the opponents of Prop 8, who are energetically begging for more contributions. The campaign manager for No on 8 states that "his forces are being outspent in part because of a surge in contributions from Mormon Church members."
In case that doesn't get you to draw the proper conclusion — that Mormons are mean because they oppose Prop 8 — the following additional quote by a representative of Affirmation, "a group of gay and lesbian Mormons," is provided: "The Mormon Church teaches that we should be building families. Through measures like Proposition 8, they are working to tear families apart."
No responses to these points from supporters of Prop 8 or from representatives of the LDS Church were included. Perhaps there were some responses in an earlier draft of the article but Prop 8 opponents told the Times to take them out.
Um. Do you read these articles?
"Officials with the Mormon Church did not respond to e-mails seeking comment."

I got to attend the big California LDS broadcast for Prop 8 Supporters this evening. It featured some very fine talks from Elder Ballard and Elder Cook of the Twelve.
One of the points they mentioned is the SSM movement is accusing us of a being intolerant when in fact they are being intolerant of us by trying to discourage us from living key elements of our religion.
Many other fine points were made.
